The data points plotted in Fig. 1 (extinction coefficients vs. wavelength) have been digitized and the extinction coefficients have been converted to absorption cross sections (conversion factor 3.8235×10-21) For the absorption maxima at 187 and 201 nm the extinction coefficients εmax =1500 ± 200 and 130 ± 30 L mole-1 cm-1 are reported, which correspond to σmax = (5.7 ± 0.8)×10-18 and (5.0 ± 1.1)×10-19 cm2 molecule-1 |
